Description

Ed Lehan served as a Marine Corporal from 1960-1964 in the Caribbean, Hawaii, The Philippines, and Guam. He was on active duty at Kaneohe Bay, HI at the time of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Later, he was attached to the aircraft carrier USS Iwo Jima and he was on active duty during the 1964 Tonkin Gulf Incident. After he left the Marine Corps, he joined the Canton Police Department, where he became a Lieutenant. He also joined the Air Force Reserve at Hanscom AFB, where he was briefly activated during Operation Desert Storm. He traveled as part of the security force attached to the Air Force Thunderbirds, and earned the rank of Master Sergeant.
